Adding a border to an image in Photoshop CS5
Borders help create additional space around the edge of your images.
In this tutorial we will add a boarder to the image shown below.

First, open the image you want to add a border to. Then go to Image > Canvas Size. Use the drop down menus to choose a unit e.g. cm. Increase the width and height values to change the border size (e.g. increase by 1cm).
Use the Anchor settings to place where the border will go. Choose a colour from the Canvas extension colour drop down menu.

Remember to save your image with a different file name otherwise you will overwrite your original image.
