Image size in Photoshop CS5
You can check the size and resolution of an image in Photoshop very easily. First open the image. Then go to Image > Image Size.
To change the size of an image make sure you Constrain Proportions is ticked (see below). This ensures the image remains in proportion when it is resized.
You can choose different units of measurement by using the drop down menus.
You should also ensure Resample Image is selected as this either adds more pixels if you increase the size of an image, or reduces the number of pixels if you downsize and image.
